WordPress security and updates, done for you

Every outdated plugin is an open door.

We keep yours updated.

Hackers don't pick your site by hand. Bots scan the web around the clock for one old plugin, then walk right in. Essential Care keeps your plugins, theme and WordPress core updated, backs up your site every week, reports to you monthly and includes 30 minutes of edits.

The uncomfortable part

WordPress isn't the problem. Skipped updates are.

WordPress itself is well looked after. The risk lives in the plugins and themes you added along the way, and in the updates nobody got around to. These numbers come from the security companies that track it full time.

What a hack actually looks like for a small business

  • 1A red warning screen instead of your homepage. Google shows warnings in Search and in browsers when it finds an unsafe site, and many are normal business sites that got compromised.
  • 2Spam and redirects hidden in your pages, sending your visitors to fake stores and gambling sites.
  • 3No clean backup to go back to, so "fixing it" means rebuilding it.
  • 4Lost sales and lost trust. Customers don't wait around for a site that looks dangerous.

  6. Every month

A note from our founder

The boring work is what keeps you safe.

A lot of people come to us after a bad experience: a hack, an update that broke everything, or a developer who stopped replying. Too often, it started with updates nobody got around to.

Essential Care is the careful, unglamorous work that prevents it. Back up first, update properly, check the site, and tell you what we did. It's done by our own in-house developers, and every one of them has been with us for 5+ years.

If anything ever looks wrong, email [email protected]. A real person on our team will reply.

Questions

Straight answers.

Still stuck? Email [email protected] and a real person will reply.

Do I need to get on a call?

No. You check out online, fill in a short access form and we take it from there. If you ever want to talk, just email us.

Will this make my site unhackable?

No one can honestly promise that. Keeping plugins, theme and core updated closes the most common ways in, and weekly backups mean there's a clean copy to go back to. That's what this plan does, and we do it properly.

What access do you need?

A WordPress admin login for our team, your hosting login and, only if needed, your domain registrar. After checkout we send a simple guide showing how to give access safely.

What if an update breaks something?

We take a backup before we update, and we check your site afterwards. If something isn't right, we roll it back and sort it out.

What counts as 30 minutes of edits?

Small changes: text, phone numbers, opening hours, swapping images, adding a team member. Email the request and we'll tell you if something won't fit in the 30 minutes before we start.

Will this help my Google rankings?

This plan is about keeping your site safe and up to date. We don't promise rankings or traffic, and you should be wary of anyone who does.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Email us and we'll stop the next billing. No contracts.

Is it safe to give a remote team access?

Yes, that's what our security routine is for: one named account per developer, 2FA on every account, an encrypted password vault, company-managed devices, a secure VPN and an activity log. You can revoke our access at any time.

Who is WP Sprints?

Who will be working on my site?
